April 2026Kelp, storms, and conscience
We visited the kelp farm and left knowing our nights funded restoration. Suites are pure southern ocean drama. One of the most thoughtful stays I’ve booked.
Southern ocean edge, regenerative aquaculture partnership
Kelp Coast is a ten-suite lodge on Tasmania’s remote west-facing shore. It partners with a regenerative kelp farm that sequesters carbon and restores marine habitat. The lodge’s own footprint is tightly managed—rainwater, solar, heat pumps—and every guest night funds 50 m² of kelp restoration. Dinner is ocean-to-table with radical seasonality.
